US’ long history of wasteful, needless wars Hoping for the end of Limbaugh’s influence

-

Biden just bombed Syria in revenge for bombing done in Iraq by Iraqi controlled militias.

This bombing is likely illegal, but that has never stopped the US from rampaging throughout the world, killing and destroying… to what purpose?

The constant state of war our country has been in since the 9/11/01 terrorist attack has weakened our country.

In its 242-year history, America has enjoyed only 16 years of peace, making it the most warlike nation in the history of the world.

Since 2001, the U. S. has spent over $6 trillion on military operations and war, money that might have been invested in the infrastructure of home. China, meanwhile, built its nation, pouring more cement every three years than America did in the entire 20th century.

Since 9/ 11 , American society has slid into dumpsterfire status, with grotesquely obscene inequality, injustice, unaffordable health care for many, not enough doctors or nurses, a declining lifespan, mediocre education for most, and many homeless, with housing unaffordable for many

And yet the Establishment, Democrat and Republican, think that if America just bombs enough, kills enough, wrecks enough countries … that life will improve and the future will be bright.

This is total insanity.

Ruben Navarette ( February 26, 2021) excuses the outrageous spew that Rush Limbaugh served to his vast radio audience because Limbaugh made nastiness entertaining.

Disdain for women, fear of immigrants and, above all, obsessive hatred of Black people were Limbaugh’s topics. He concealed his complete lack of logic or any notion of coherent argument behind a screen of vitriol.

Worst of all, perhaps, Limbaugh showed our less imaginative haters how to dress up their pettiness with comical words and catchy phrases.

Shakespeare wrote, “The evil that men do lives after them; the good is often interred with their bones.” Let’s hope we live to see the end of Limbaugh’s evil influence.
