Mass migration from the Golden State

- INFORMATION »

DESCRIPTION » A 4-yearold American pit bull terrier mix, Matteo is a happy go lucky black and white boy who came to the shelter as a surrender. He tends to be shy and would prefer to go to a home with women. He needs a little time to warm up but once he does he’s playful and fun. His ideal adopter would know a lot about his breed. Matteo gets along with some dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He would do best with children over the age of 16 and cannot live with cats. Matteo is looking for a fun and active home.

U-Haul’s 2020 Migration Statistics, which track the difference between one way UHaul rentals entering a state vs one way rentals leaving the same state, found Tennessee to be the state with the most 2020 migration increase. Two other “No State Income Tax” sates finished second and third, i.e. Florida and Texas. The numbers are based on 2 million U-Haul transactions.

Guess what state ranked last by a wide margin? Yep, California, which has the highest state income tax and fees in the nation yet the worst: crime, homeless population, streets, public retirement deficit, state parks, and highway rest stops … to name a few negatives that come to mind.

I for one am tired of paying outrageous state income taxes so the Democrats can use the money to buy votes with all their social welfare programs. Obviously their only concern is staying in power and lunch at the French Laundry.

Wouldn’t it be easier to send the governor and the Democrat majority in the State Assembly (73%) and the State Senate (80%) packing than for the rest of us to move out?
