Biden may need to take executive action

-

This is regarding the SS Filibuster cartoon blocking Congress from acting on vitally important legislation, that was in last Sunday’s E-R.

If the Senate fails to abolish the filibuster and the Republicans succeed in filibustering such legislation like voting rights, background checks on guns and banning assault weapons, immigration reform, putting people to work fi xing our infrastructure and on green jobs, act on homelessness etc., President Biden must use his executive authority and implement those bills. Then when the Democrats gain a bigger majority in both houses of Congress next year, Congress can codify those bills. If the reactionary majority on the Supreme Court rules this unconstitutional, Biden can simply tell those justices that they can try to physically enforce their decision themselves. The majority of the American people want action, and they don’t care how it’s done! This includes many Republican voters, even if not Republican office holders. It’s no wonder why many Republicans are leaving that party.

About the Trump holdover at Social Security, Andrew

Saul, who refused to furnish information to the IRS holding up 30 million people from getting their stimulus relief, Saul must be fired and thrown in prison for refusing to carry out the policies of the president and Congress as required by law. As I write this, I am one of those who did not receive their stimulus relief deposits yet.
