Get vaccinated, but end mask-shaming

-

The mask-shaming letters need to stop.

The “science” has been evershifting over the past year, but some data is becoming more clear.

Scientific journals such as “The Lancet,” “Frontiers in Public Health” and others show scientifically that lockdowns and social distancing were ineffective at changing the death rate. Sweden, which got blistered early on for its “lax” lockdowns has shown over time to have better outcomes than the most stringent states like the Czech Republic and Germany.

In America, facts have become clear — the masking and job-killing shutdowns done by the governors of New York, New Jersey, Michigan, and California have had no better outcomes than the freefor-all states like South Dakota, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida. The recently re-opened Texas (March 2) has not had the murderous result CNN, Gavin Newsom, and others howled about.

The arrogance and hubris of those who believe they can control this virus by masking is proven ineffective.

The war against Covid is not yet over, but we can win.

Something helpful you can actually do is to get vaccinated. People who are vaccinated appear to not transmit it, either. So maybe that person you see without a mask has been vaccinated. In any event, if you’re vaccinated, you won’t care as much.

Go to myturn.ca.gov and sign up for your vaccination. Or use the http://www.buttecounty.net/ ph/covid19/vaccine website.

Anybody over the age of 16 can now be protected by the vaccine. In less time than it takes to write a letter, you can sign up.
