Please, no good press for PG&E

-

Headline: “PG&E donates $1 million for wildfire relief” says our own Chico E-R. What a great bunch of guys!

PG&E donated over

$200,000 to Gavin Newsom out of $2.1 million in political contributions, which is much more than the sectional dribbles doled out to various groups from this million dollar donation. PG&E got special access to the governor’s office and rewritten legislation that freed them from most responsibility for the Camp Fire which resulted in deaths with no jail time. Then PG&E moved on to commit more mayhem and what is now California’s biggest fire, the Dixie Fire. Just watch ABC News 10 series of special reports called “Fire, Power and Money.”

It isn’t just climate change, it is directed political contributions that keep these fires coming. PG&E is asking for rate hikes of 22%. Declaring bankruptcy freed it from most obligations. PG&E doesn’t properly keep trees away from powerlines so they cut off our power. What a great bunch of guys!

PG&E continues after the Camp Fire, eight-year-old Feyla McLeod and her mother Alaina died in the Zogg Fire with PG&E sole suspect under a homicide investigation. What a great bunch of guys!

How does PG&E get good press? PG&E Corp. was accused of putting its “reputation above public safety” in a lawsuit alleging that the power company spends too much on advertising and not enough on preventing devastating Northern California wildfires. What a great bunch of guys!
