US’ ‘world order’ has been a disaster

-

Reported in a recent E-R article Jake Sullivan, Biden’s national security adviser warned China’s President Xi to avoid helping Russia evade punishment from global sanctions, saying “We will not allow that to go forward.”

Xi, had every reason to respond with a common rude gesture, or at least, “Who do you think you are, telling China what you will allow?” Instead, Xi modeled the kind of statesmanship the world needs.

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently said, “What the Americans want is a unipolar world which would not be like a global village but like an American village — or maybe like a saloon where you know the strongest calls the shots,” He added that many countries such as China, India and Brazil did not want to be ordered around by “Uncle Sam” acting like a sheriff.

The US “rules-based world order” has been a disaster,

The US, with mind boggling arrogance and hypocrisy, NEVER obeys its own rules.

Russia’s military action in Ukraine is not good, but the US wanted this war, even now sending $800 million of more weaponry, obviously not wanting negotiations until Russia has been smashed into submission.

With such outrage over Russia’s actions, remember that in 2017, an American-led coalition in Syria dropped some 10,000 bombs on Raqqa, destroying nearly 80 percent of the densely populated city of three hundred thousand. Nobody knows how many people died.

About time someone challenged the US power-mad arrogance and hypocrisy.
