Vote for broad and inclusive representation
This June, Supervisors
Debra Lucero and Tami Ritter will be on the ballot, seeking re-election to the Butte County Board of Supervisors … against some very conservative opponents. NOTE: Chico has joined the ranks of money determining election outcomes, and at this moment, the wellfunded conservatives have a wallet full.
Supervisor Lucero has tackled multiple issues head on during her first term, from development concerns, landscaping issues, cell tower intrusion, flooding, nitrate problems and more on behalf of North Chico residents. When Bidwell Avenue neighbors had trouble with PG&E excessively cutting historic oak and black walnut trees, she aided in the two successfully working out solutions. When the City of Chico’s $1.7 million funding of the 177unit pallet shelter project was in danger of falling short the votes, Debra didn’t give up. She negotiated with a fellow supervisor to change his vote, allowing the pallet shelter to move forward and help the city with its federal lawsuit over the unhoused.
From the Camp Fire, to water, to gerrymandering, to homelessness and COVID, I have watched Supervisors Lucero and Ritter in action and witnessed, firsthand, their dedication to constituents and to the North State. They work tirelessly for the truth, the whole truth, and disclosure on topics that might otherwise go unnoticed.
It’s so important we hear all sides to an issue. It’s these two women who deliver it.
VOTE this June! Let’s reelect Supervisors Lucero and Ritter for broad and inclusive representation at the county level. — Pam Stoesser, Chico
