Full-spectrum leader who deserves your vote

-

I’ve never seen anyone more prepared for a position of service than Nichole Nava, running for city council District 4. Nichole’s heart beats for Chico. Raised in Chico, she married her Chico High sweetheart from a Mexican immigrant family, and they raised their children here. Working minimum wage local jobs to fund her first college years, she later graduated as a working mother, ran her own business, and has a 24-year career in social services.

Nichole has attended most city council meetings for the past six years. She worked tirelessly, personally and through her job with the county, to aid survivors of the Camp and

Bear Fires. She helped craft key language with state representatives supporting expanded mental health treatment and bridge housing, elements from it found its way to the governor’s desk as Care Court, which will bring sorely needed resources to our community.

Beyond police ride-alongs and the rigors of citizen’s fire academy, Nichole spent years developing relationships with emergency response leaders and teams, learning their challenges and needs in protecting our city’s health, security and fire safety.

Nichole has walked almost every inch of her district, knocking on most doors. She asks each person about their priorities and concerns. She knows its potholes, broken sidewalks, unlit streets, blind corners, and dead trees. She tracks the new affordable housing units coming online, when, who they can serve, and where the needs remain.

While many candidates are single-issue, single-perspective advocates, Nichole is a fullspectrum leader. She deserves your vote.
