Learning more about the `pimps of war'

-

Candid authorities in and around Washington, D.C. attribute the war in Ukraine and apparent bankruptcy of U.S.'s moral & economic authority to policies spawned by wealthy, privileged “neocons”: i.e., Elliott Abrams, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Victoria Nuland (part of the neocon Kagan family of Yale fame), Wm Kristoll III (the American Enterprise Institute), etc.. — “… people who never had to make a thing work in their lives” (Gen. Binney, NSA).

They “budded” during the Reagan Administration and bloomed in the Bush II Administration. They're rigidly anti-Russian/pro-Capitalist and authors of the infamous Project For A New American Century purporting that, because of the U.S.'s exceptionalism and “values”, the U.S. should be the sole power in a world. That `power' should begin by militarily overcoming 7 major adversaries — starting with Iraq, ending with Iran.

But neocons fomented brutality in more places than the Middle East. They pushed US financing of brutal military juntas in Central and South America — “disappearing” death squads and all — through the 80's (and far more before and after). They were major in NATO”s incorporation of eastern European countries after USSR's collapse (despite promises made and expert warnings against it), overthrowing Ukraine's elected President in 2014, and supporting attacks on ethnic Russians in Ukraine's Donbas area after that overthrow.

Huge money and power from Democrats and Republicans support neocons. We lay people must say “NO” to such conscienceless politics.
