1995 PACKERS
In 1995, the Packers were one year away from a Super Bowl run. Three years earlier in 1992, GM Ron Wolf hired Mike Holmgren as coach, and one month later, traded for 22year-old quarterback Brett Favre. The Packers improved from 4-12 to 9-7, and in 1993, they signed Reggie White and reached the divisional round of the playoffs in both ’93 and ’94. We’ll take a chronological look at original newspaper accounts of the Packers 25 years ago in 1995, as they continued to assert themselves among the NFL’s top teams.
