E! News reported pair were dating
Editor’s note: This story was published Feb. 2 before Aaron Rodgers’ MVP speech on Feb. 6 when he announced he was engaged, but did not reveal his fiancee’s name.
Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley are a couple, according to an exclusive from E! News.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback and the “Big Little
Lies” and “Divergent” actress have been in a long-distance relationship and “have kept things private and low key,” E! confirmed, citing an unnamed source.
Rodgers, 37, has been in Green Bay through the Packers postseason, while Woodley, 29, is next filming serial killer movie “Misanthrope,” which was scheduled to begin shooting in Montreal last month, according to Deadline.
“They continue to talk and see each other when they can. They are both focused on their careers, but they also make time for each other,” the source told E!
Woodley is best known for the “Divergent” franchise as well as such films as “The Fault in Our Stars,” “The Descendants” and “The Spectacular Now.” She also starred opposite Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern on HBO’s “Big Little Lies.”
A native of Simi Valley, California, Woodley is also a noted environmental activist.
Her name came up after Rodgers and former race car driver Danica Patrick ended their two-year relationship last year. A representative for Patrick confirmed that breakup in July.
Around the same time, sports gossip blogger Terez Owens reported getting a tip linking Rodgers to Woodley that fueled speculation.
