Town to consider exceptions committee standards
Moment of silence for Camp Fire victims to begin meeting
The Paradise Town Council is set to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, and among the items the council will address is the application standards for the recently approved interim housing urgency ordinance exceptions committee.
The committee, which will include Vice- Mayor Jody Jones and Councilor Steve Culleton, could have its standards approved by the full council Tuesday night or have alternative direction provided to town staff.
The council was going to take it up last month, but with Councilor Greg Bolin absent from last month’s meeting, it was decided to push it to this month.
The council will also discuss concerns raised at the October meeting regarding the Reseeding Design and Scoping Plan, a plan that councilors will be asked to approve from River Partners under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Advanced Planning grant.
Councilors will also look to reach concurrence on the next steps for Reseeding Plan’s scope of reseeding implementation.
The council will discuss and a proposed ordinance regarding defensible space and hazardous fuel management.
Councilors will either adopt the recommended action that prior to the transfer of ownership of a parcel from a seller to a buyer, or from one owner to another, the seller or owner shall first obtain a certificate of compliance from the town that the parcel is not in violation of this section prior to the transfer of ownership.
If the council doesn’t approve that, it will look at an alternative action.
The council also be asked to approve the nomination of Patricia Elkerton to the Measure V committee.
She would replace Nikki Jones who resigned earlier this year.
The council will also be asked to approve Gail Larson and Ronald Lossande as alternates.
