Santa Fe dancer, choreographer, and teacher Julie Brette Adams presents a concert of varied works at the Santa Fe Playhouse (142 E. DeVargas St.) this weekend with guest artist Christopher Bowen. Adams, who is known for her modern-dance solos, premieres l’Ange, a duet with Bowen, a dancer and architect who has returned to Santa Fe after many years away. The piece was inspired by the work of painter Gustav Klimt. Several other dances get their first airing at the concert: a solo by Adams, Same Girl, explores female stereotypes; Bowen’s solo, Edited

for Persistence; and Code-Cross, with Jefferson Voorhees on talking drum. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. Tickets, $20, can be reserved by calling 505-986-1801. — Michael Wade Simpson
