Because the planets like to work across the board, we’re asked to contemplate this question every which way — politically, economically, and spiritually. The Venus-Jupiter conjunction suggests that whatever we do will tend to be on a grand scale. Mercury sextiles Jupiter and wants us to discuss freedom in all its many forms. Mars challenges Jupiter and encourages us to wrestle over plans or play fiercely. Be careful around flammable material, political topics, and personalities.
This holiday weekend begins under a communal picnic-oriented Aquarius moon. We respond well to fireworks, parades, and all other events that promote group activity more than intimacy. Keep the agenda loose, because we resist heavy expectations.
On Sunday the energy turns muscular, competitive, and yet sensitive. Monday calls us to rest up and contemplate the ephemeral quality of beauty as the sun opposes Pluto. We also feel rumbles in the background at the edges of a power play.

Be honest and caring rather than manipulative, even if feeling needy. If we’re presented with difficult decisions tonight as the sun tangles with Saturn, let’s set clean, clear boundaries.
