Apprentices alfresco: Santa Fe Bandstand
Four singers from this year’s Santa Fe Opera apprentice program — soprano Rebecca Krynski, mezzo-soprano Daryl Freedman, tenor Daniel Bates, and bass-baritone Nicholas Brownlee — take to the great outdoors for an hourlong program at the Santa Fe Bandstand, on the Plaza, at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13. Their free concert, accompanied by pianist Keun-A Lee, consists of songs, musical-theater numbers, and operatic selections, including arias from Don Giovanni, Adriana Lecouvreur, Louise, and Eugene Onegin as well as duets from Les contes d’Hoffmann (for the women) and La bohème (for the men). All join for the celebrated quartet from Rigoletto, echoing a highlight from the company’s main stage this season. Visit www.santafebandstand.org.
