I am ath­letic and hu­mor­ous I won­der why when some peo­ple get in trou­ble they laugh I hear the crack of the bat dur­ing a base­ball game on tele­vi­sion I see the moun­tains in my back­yard I want to travel to Spain

I am ath­letic and hu­mor­ous I pre­tend that I can fly I feel the warmth of my house on a cold day I touch the soft blan­ket on my bed I worry about fail­ing I cry when I lose a loved one

I am ath­letic and hu­mor­ous I understand that I must get an ed­u­ca­tion I say that there should be no wars I dream of be­ing a pro­fes­sional base­ball player I am ath­letic and hu­mor­ous Troy Et­ten­son, twelve, is a sev­enth-grade stu­dent at St. Michael’s High School.
