Giacobbe-Fritz Fine Art 702 Canyon Road, 505-986-1156 Giacobbe-Fritz’s Small Works Holiday Group Show is a giftsized selection of paintings by gallery artists Ben Steele, Bradford Salamon, Melinda K. Hall, and others. The show includes a range of representational works such as landscapes, portraits, and still lifes in a variety of styles and techniques. Steele, for instance, works in the tradition of trompe l’oeil, but with a contemporary context. Hall’s paintings include an eclectic mix of whimsical animal portraits inspired by bestiaries from ancient Greece, medieval Europe, and other cultures. The show is on view through Jan. 8, 2016.
