The Short Order

Located on Guadalupe Street in the heart of the Railyard, the sports bar and grill Boxcar rebranded itself from the old Junction last fall, revamping the bar configuration and the menu. Its hangar-like space fits the Railyard aesthetic, and though there are many big-screen TVs, the restaurant does not seem dominated by them. Boxcar finds its groove with classic bar food, though its higher- end menu options are hit-and-miss. Recommended: buffalo chicken wings, jalapeño poppers, and fish and chips.
