Filastine: At Currents

In late May, Grey Filastine and Nova Ruth — known professionally as Filastine — released a short video titled The Cleaner. The second episode of their Abandon project, it shows a cleaning woman who can’t quite contain herself from breaking into rapturous dancing in the middle of her duties. It’s all about “the human condition, of how we sell our bodies, and how we can dare to escape,” its creators say. Filastine is also a musical group: Filastine the composer and Ruth the vocalist from Java. They play at the Railyard Plaza at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 11.
