“EXPRESS YOURSELF” — that’s the message of the sun, Venus, and Mercury all in Leo, with Venus and Mercury forming a trine with unexpected, electrical Uranus.

With this lineup in Leo, we can indulge in hyperbole or dramatic gestures, tell wonderful stories, inspire crowds, or speak with ridiculous bombast. Our own feelings can surprise us with their dramatic arc, and both political commentary and fishing tales can sound unbelievably over-the-top — but just because something is an exaggeration, it doesn’t mean there isn’t some truth inside.

Mars enters forward-thinking, mobile Sagittarius next Tuesday after many months brooding in Scorpio. But this last weekend brings a review of our darker, more frustrating challenges of 2016, of musty old resentments and unsolved mysteries. It offers a chance for resolution, but could also catalyze unexpected or explosive events; unexpected Uranus retrogrades on Friday just as verbal Mercury squares that energized Mars. Let’s keep our eyes open and choose not to argue unless it truly feels constructive.

A Gemini moon will help us negotiate this challenging patch. Mercury enters its own sign of Virgo on Saturday, and our thoughts begin to turn toward fall plans. We want details. But there is a fresh wind coming that can turn our attention toward a more hopeful future. The new moon on Tuesday afternoon begins an exciting time to share our hearts and shine. Mars enters Sagittarius and turns our attention forward. We may be less suspicious than when Mars was in Scorpio, and have a new need for truth and transparency all around.

FRIDAY, JULY 29: A talkative Gemini moon can distract us from more serious work this morning. Mercury squares Mars this afternoon and may force some decisions or call for direct action. Pay attention to avoid accidents of distraction.

SATURDAY, JULY 30: Meander and let the soul renew. Chew over current events, but consider waiting to discuss major differences with beloveds until after Tuesday. The evening brings an introspective edge as Mercury enters Virgo and the moon enters Cancer.

SUNDAY, JULY 31: Morning can be soft and spiritually hungry, but expect emotional crosswinds later on. Old splinters come to the surface as the moon opposes Pluto, and we can waste time sulking or wanting to be elsewhere. Look for new possibilities tonight in politics or emotional relationships.

MONDAY, AUG. 1: Make plans and put a good foot forward. Follow through on opportunities for work. Check health-related concerns and change daily patterns to improve health. People may be self-protective or easily angered about old problems on this last day of Mars in Scorpio. Energy opens tonight as the moon enters extroverted Leo.

TUESDAY, AUG. 2: This day brings new beginnings as Mars enter Sagittarius and the sun and moon conjunct in Leo. We can choose to turn around, let go of some old wounds, and step with enthusiasm into the future.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 3: Notice a new buzz in the air. We have fresh interest in new answers, people, and places. Visibility is important. See and be seen, but rather than jostle egos, recognize the spirit light within one another. Let’s be careful what we feed with either positive or negative attention — because it will grow.

THURSDAY, AUG. 4: Don’t just complain under this nervy Virgo moon. Laugh rather than berate oneself or others when little mistakes are made. Pay attention to the larger critical voice — just make sure it’s applied constructively and fairly.
