The ensem­ble Air & Ham­mers, con­sist­ing of the hus­band-and-wife duo of bari­tone Ed­mund Con­nolly and pi­anist Max­ine Thévenot, of­fers a recital that fo­cuses on Bri­tish reper­toire, in­clud­ing two folk-song set­tings by Brit­ten, four se­lec­tions from Vaughan Wil­liams’ Songs of Travel, and a hand­ful of songs from Finzi’s Earth and Air and Rain .A few non-Bri­tish items also fig­ure in the con­cert: a pair of melodies by Fauré, se­lec­tions from Wolf’s Spanis­ches Lieder­buch, a song by the Cana­dian An­drew Ager, and two pieces by New Mex­ico-based com­poser Fred­er­ick Frahm. This event, spon­sored by South­west Arts, takes place at 3 p.m. on Sun­day, March 26, at Christ Lutheran Church, (1701 Ar­royo Chamiso).
