Axle Contemporary, 505-670-5854 or 505-670-7612 Multimedia artist Brian Fleetwood uses diverse mediums to mimic the the physical structures of organic life forms. His interactive installation Propagation opens on Friday, April 7, with a 5 p.m. reception at the Farmers Market shade structure in the Railyard (1607 Paseo de Peralta). For the installation, Fleetwood created an ecosystem inside Axle’s mobile gallery. The biologically inspired forms in Propagation include wearable pins and clips in different designs — which he calls “spores” — that visitors can take with them, expanding the exhibit beyond the confines of the gallery. Call Axle or visit for updates on the mobile gallery’s location.
