Iron man
Tom Joyce’s most ambitious exhibition yet offers viewers a wonderful miscellany of iron sculptures — tremendously heavy objects that are alternately reminiscent of primitive mechanisms and organic forms — as well as colorful photographic abstractions, an artistic installation of forging tools, lithographs, and an intriguing illuminated tool array. Tom Joyce: Everything at Hand opens Friday, July 28, at the Center for Contemporary Arts; the works populate the CCA’s new sculpture garden and Tank Garage Gallery space.
