known to be lucky for some, unlucky for others — we can choose how we want to react to the day. As far as astrology is concerned, we always have a choice. Every astrological aspect has a positive expression, a pragmatic form, and a challenge. Like a river, we can’t stop the aspects, but we can direct which way that river flows. A positive expression of any aspect is the cure for its danger.

Last week we experienced difficult aspects that shook up the headlines, but many people could and did use their intensity to make positive changes. This week we have some lovely, healing, if unsettling, aspects that support both sanity and change, but some people can use even these to create trouble.

The sun and Mercury in are now in Libra and encourage us to make peace with one another and seek love, equilibrium, and social justice. We really appreciate people being nice to one another, and it scrapes our sensitive nerves when they are not. Mercury opposes change-master Uranus next week, a yearly aspect that wakes us up. This Uranian energy can leave us feeling tired or wired, or just ready to be done and move on.

Old resentments can flare up on Tuesday as Mercury enters Scorpio and Mars forms an irritating aspect with Uranus. Stay safe and back away from confrontations. Thursday’s new Libra moon encourages us to start a fresh cycle in relationships, first by assessing what we appreciate and then deciding what we need to do to create different outcomes. This is not a time to find fault in others, but to choose new ways of interacting in our love lives as well as our political policies or community collaborations.

Notice tension between unfinished work and a growing desire to engage the world with Venus and Mars in Virgo under a dramaloving Leo moon. Appreciate others’ work, and they will shine. It’s easy, even fun, to feel righteous, but our bonds grow deeper if we share our warmth instead. Consider attending an art opening or creative fundraiser.

Make the world beautiful as Venus enters Libra. This morning is bittersweet. Midday, the mood may be practical yet intriguing as strangers meet across a crowded room. Tonight, we may crave something fresh and different.

Our nerves can feel charged. Be open to a change of mind or plans after reviewing the recent past while mental Mercury opposes Uranus. Assess any sudden impulse carefully, and watch for shocking news or transportation difficulties. Toward the evening, old problems need tending to and new habits need installing.

Overnight dreams linger as the moon opposes Neptune. Let’s reassess what responsibilities we’re willing to take on while the sun sextiles serious Saturn under a busy Virgo moon. Manage anxiety. Take concrete steps, no matter how small, toward a personal goal.

Get serious as Mercury enters obsessive Scorpio. Impatience cranks up as Mars quincunxes Uranus. If a recent assignment has been completed, it’s time to ponder the next goal.

Reach hands across the aisle as the waning Libra moon squares Pluto. Bittersweet longing for more peace and love, along with more beauty and fairness, will bring out the cynicism in some and desire for connection in others. Overtures are deeply appreciated.

Change in thought creates change in action or in identity as the sun conjuncts the moon and opposes Uranus. Contemplate how to begin a new chapter, new friendships, a new wardrobe, and healthier ways of relating to one another.
