WE ARE HEADING INTO the dreamy time of the year. Emotional Venus is already in sensitive, imaginative Pisces; mental Mercury enters Pisces on Saturday; and the sun, the source of our energy, follows on Sunday. We drift into the mists.

On a bad day, this fog can provide a confusing camouflage of uncertainty or misinformation. But if we want to see clearly and are willing to check our facts and perceptions, we can use these Piscean Neptunian mists to reach into the fertile loam of our psyches and sprout this year’s visions. Make plans between now and March 6, when Venus and Mars both head into feisty, energized Aries. If we know where we are going because we clearly envisioned the map, we can put that rocket fuel to use. If we don’t, strong emotional crosscurrents could take us way off-course.

This weekend, pull out the art supplies. Make room for a spiritual moment. Take advantage of an opportunity to let go of old anger as active Mars squares Neptune. Do not get caught in a web of confusion, and watch out for sloppy weather or sloppy thinking. On Sunday, the moon moves into decisive Aries and can kick us into gear, though watch a tendency to get on a high horse too readily.

Early in the week, stay levelheaded as mental Mercury semisquares Pluto, which can twist our minds around our worries. Check out concerns, but don’t get stuck in them. On Wednesday, an earthy Taurus moon helps us to get cozier in our bodies as comfort foods beckon. In order to feel safe, we could use some reassurance regarding the trustworthiness of the people around us.

FRIDAY, FEB. 16: We may be feeling introverted as the Pisces moon conjuncts Venus and Neptune, but another inner voice whispers that we should be going out and fixing things. Find a balance between the two. Tonight, we may prefer to be in a safe place.

SATURDAY, FEB. 17: Mars squares Neptune and lowers our energy levels while increasing our abilities to dream, create, and also to forgive. But let’s be careful not to feel overwhelmed. Common sense, a walk in the woods, and simple chores can help us find ballast.

SUNDAY, FEB. 18: The moon goes into Aries and our independence asserts itself again. Find a balance between intimacy and honesty, cooperation and self-direction. Keep the immune system strengthened by resting when needed. MONDAY, FEB. 19: Sticking to a schedule can make us grumpy. Feel the urge to do the unexpected just because, and don’t jump on the Twitter feed. Use this restlessness to break routine and find an improvement. Tonight, be honest about some apparent danger, but don’t get stuck there as the moon conjuncts intense Pluto and asks us to look under rocks. TUESDAY, FEB. 20: Deal with erratic events or moods early this morning before jumping into an otherwise productive day. People may speak from their anxieties as Mercury semisquares Pluto. The moon enters earthy, territorial Taurus moon at midday and steadies the mood. WEDNESDAY, FEB. 21: We may want a little magic around our creative process this morning. Fairy dust could be sprinkled at any moment; just don’t stray into delusion. A common sense Mercury-Saturn sextile can stabilize thinking. THURSDAY, FEB. 22: Feelings are working overtime, and hopes and fears have more space in our minds than logical thoughts. It helps to give this imagination a place to go to stay out of trouble while using practical, earthy chores and traditional systems to stay grounded. Gently question any assumptions.
