Join us for a lecture exploring the idea of candid photography. Alan Ross is a renowned photographer whose unique vision combines traditional photographic methods with today’s technology. Join us to learn about how the sculptural process evolves, from drawing to model to finished work, and get ready to explore your own creativity with sketching, wire, and clay. Join us for an intimate evening in the Museum galleries and try your hand at drawing methods that guided O’Keeffe in her student days. Each month we’ll explore different exercises from Arthur Wesley Dow’s book Composition. Led by local artist Liz Brindley. This evocative photography installation, part of the Contemporary Voices series, closes on Sunday. The Museum galleries will be partially closed from Monday, February 25 to Thursday, February 28 while we rotate our collection and prepare the next installation Georgia = O’Keeffe Museum, 217 Johnson Street.
