DID YOU MISS OUT ON DREAMHACK AUSTIN?

HERE ARE OUR BOOTH HIGHLIGHTS WITH ASUS ROG FROM THE 3 DAYS ON THE SHOW FLOOR

-

The Republic of Gamers were back at DreamHack Austin with a bigger and better expo presence. With its second visit to the US, DreamHack returns to the Austin Convention Center as one of the world’s leading digital festivals, featuring 24-hr BYOC LAN parties, the DreamExpo area, and world-class esports tournaments, with a lineup including: CS:GO, Hearthstone, Super Smash Bros., Starcraft II, and Street Fighter V.

The ROG booth featured some cool hardware, hands-on experiences with the latest games, tons of free swag, and a chance to play and meet the pros. Gamers could play Overwatch with Kephrii - the highest ranked Widowmaker player in the world, battle against Street Fighter V pros Momochi and Justin Wong of Echo Fox, and have a meet and greet with NRG’s iSkys.

ASUS brought their line of high- powered gaming systems along with custom PCs from their top partners. The highlight was on the ROG Strix GD30 customizable desktop. This bad boy can not only showcase a sci-fi and cyberpunk-inspired design with its custom art panels, its classic black and white colors are reminiscent of a Star Wars Stormtrooper! You can also customize the interior of the GD30. Aura RGB lighting lets you play with over eight million colors and multiple effects displayed in the center of the motherboard. The GD30 has enough room for a full-size optical drive, up to six 3.5” hard drives or SSDs (solid-state drives), and two 2.5” SSDs. It even caters to liquid cooling with mounts for a dualfan radiator.

Fans lined up to play Overwatch in 3v3 online matches with Kephrii, and were able to snap photos and get autographs from him. Echo Fox members Momochi and Justin Wong played against attendees in 1v1 matches in SFV, and fans also received signed memorabilia from these Pro players even if they couldn’t achieve the monumental task of beating them.

ASUS ROG will be back at the next PAX West. Are you planning on attending?
