Five Pea Ridge High School seniors have entered the Miss Pea Ridge contest which will be on July 10. Entered are Katie Bloxham, Zabrina Grigg, Ashley Prophet, Heidi Shaver and Breanne Turner.

Janet Spivey, owner of Sisco Funeral Home, was welcomed to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Pea Ridge.

Mayor Jackie Crabtree has announced he intends to seek a fourth term as mayor. First elected 12 years ago, Crabtree began as a part-time mayor and now fills the position full time.

Two City council positions will open this year. The seats held by Jerry Burton and Bob Cottingham will be available this year.

Jim Hall is the new chairman of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. He replaced Don Barnett, who accepted a position in Memphis.
