Matthew Jay Self
Matthew Jay Self, 29, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, in Paris, Ark. He was born June 12, 1986, to Mark and Patricia Self.
He graduated from Paris High School and studied criminology. He loved his family and most of all being with his daughter.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Eugene Self; mother, Patricia Ann Self; grandfather, George P. Self; and grandmother, Victoria A. Ramos.
Survivors are his daughter Addalyn Grace Self of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Amanda Blake and Melanie Self of Rogers, Ark.; one brother Justin Self of Eureka Springs, Ark.; two brothers-in-law, Aaron Washington and Michael Wilmoth, both of Rogers; one sisterin-law, Tiffany Phillips of Eureka Springs, Ark.; grandparents, Aloha Self of Rogers and Phillip and Glenda Gaddis of Pea Ridge, Ark.; one uncle, Timothy Gaddis of Centerton, Ark.; three aunts, Lisa Gaddis of Clarkston, Mich., Edith Rosado of Michigan and Lisa Gaddis of Centerton, Ark.; three nieces, Abigail Fontenot of Lake Charles, La., Taylor Blanchard of Rogers and McKinley Washington of Rogers; two nephews, Jerimiah Self and Mark Washington, both of Rogers; and many other friends and family.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, in Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, Ark.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
All family and friends whom Matthew influenced were invited.
