Donnie L. Morgan
Donnie L. Morgan, 69, of Rogers, Ark., died Aug. 23, 2016, in Rogers. He was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Jacket, Mo., to Dillard and Dorothy Evelyn Arnold Morgan.
He was a retired truck driver for Stribling Packaging and a member of the Church of Christ. He was a corporal in the Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his sense of humor would bring a smile to anyone’s face. He spent a majority of his time as a horse rider and trainer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jerry Dale Morgan.
Survivors are his wife Nancy Hart Morgan of the home; children, Donna Morgan O’Neill (Eric) of Exeter, Mo., Catherine Bright Garmon of Emory, Texas, Diane Wehmeyer (Stan) of Bentonville, Ark., and Richard Bright (Jill) of Rogers; one brother, Gerald Dillard Morgan of Lowell, Ark.; three sisters, Evelyn June Fletcher of Seligman, Mo., Marjorie Irene Howell of Bentonville, Ark., and Patricia Kay Dean of Garfield, Ark.; six grandchildren, Nicholle O’Neill Forgey (Seth), Baillie Morgan O’Neill, Matthew Peacock (Shawnee), Steven Wehmeyer (Chris-Mari), Stephanie Wehmeyer and Lauren Bright; and five great-grandchildren, Cash Forgey, Tucker and Tate Peacock, Matthew and Johnathan Wehmeyer.
Visitation was 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.
Graveside services with military honors were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
