Harley Eldon Leflett
Harley Eldon Leflett, 87, of Rogers, died Sept. 14, 2016, at Ashley Rehab in Rogers. He was born in Sentinel, Okla., on Oct. 29, 1928, to Lloyd and Mabel (Inman) Leflett.
Harley married childhood sweetheart, Margaret “Sue” Andrews. In their marriage of more than 50 years, they raised four children and shared their love of horses. Harley worked for Harris Bakery most of his career until retirement. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sue Leflett; son, David W. Leflett, Sr.; and brothers, Herbert, Gayland and W.L. Leflett.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Leflett of Sunset, La.; daughters, Diane Leflett and Karen Leflett of Lafayette, La.; sister, Norma Higgins and husband Gerald Higgins of Garfield; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is thankful for Ashley Rehab and Circle of Life Hospice for taking care of Harley. Heartfelt thanks to his loving sister, Norma Higgins and husband Gerald for their never ending devotion and care of dad to the end.
A graveside service for family and friends was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Tuck’s Chapel Cemetery near Rogers.
