Newel Wesley Kemp

Newel Wesley Kemp, 81, of Clifty, Ark., died Oct. 28, 2016, at the Veterans Heathcare System of the Ozarks in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born Jan. 7, 1935, at Throckmort­on, Texas, to Andrew Jackson “Jack” and Jimmie Carroll Kemp.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator, a United States Marine Corps veteran and a former member of the Clifty Volunteer Fire Department and the Board of the Lone Star Community Building.

Survivors include his wife, Carlene Burk Kemp of the home; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Tony Kemp of Memphis, Tenn., Terry and Suzanna Kemp of Rogers, Ark., Ricky and Brandi Kemp and Robert and Sarah Kemp, all of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Greg Bowen of Garfield, Ark., Christina and Robert Forks of Liberal, Kan., Cynthia and Billy Davis of Rogers, Ark., and Emily and Dustin Rickert of Prairie Grove, Ark.; two stepsons and stepdaught­ers-in-law, Carl Wayne and Debbie Martin of Marble, Ark., and Charles and Iris Martin of Bella Vista, Ark.; one stepdaught­er, Linda Fowler of Huntsville, Ark.; one sister, Pearl Elizabeth Thomas of Fort Worth, Texas; 22 grandchild­ren; and 22 great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation was 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Brashears.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Reverend Butch Bolinger officiatin­g.

Interment was in the Clifty Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www. brashearsf­uneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark.

Pallbearer­s were Jeremy Miller, Elmer Lee Robertson, Tom Polston, Ray Rogers, Jose Vasquez and Steve Bohannan. Honorary pallbearer­s were Odeal Treat, Jerry Robertson, Darlene Knight, Gerald Thomas, Billy Kirk and Ted Beaty.

Loretta Williams

Loretta Williams, 77, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Mercy Hospital of Northwest Arkansas. She was born Aug. 15, 1939, at La Jara, Colo., to Jose Timoteo Lopez and Francescit­a Gallegos Lopez.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, singing and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Christophe­r Lopez, Timoteo Lopez, Edward Lopez and Lawrence Lopez; three sisters, Leonila Saenz, Mary Jane Taclay and Rose Archuleta.

Survivors are her husband, Bobbie Williams, whom she married Oct. 4, 1958, at St. Rosa Lima Church in Layton, Utah; two sons, Steven Williams (Pamula) of Coppell, Texas, and Chad Williams (Leslie) of Sachse, Texas; three daughters, Bonita Stanley of Plano, Texas, Maria Baker (Leon) of Rogers and Victoria Bonds of Wylie Texas; 10 grandchild­ren; and five great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation was 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home.

Graveside services were 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Dug Hill Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark.

Arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark.
