Nancy Raye Townsend

Nancy Raye Townsend, 59, of Garfield, Ark., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016. She was born June 1, 1957, in Omaha, Neb., to Eva Reschke Smith and Darwin R. Smith.

She enjoyed things from an earlier time, including canning, quilting, embroidery, antiques and her animals. Her creations were always signed with her “Raye of Sunshine” signature.

She cherished the time she shared with her family. Children loved Nancy and she not only loved them, but loved making things magical for them.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Townsend, of Garfield; a son, Aaron Townsend (Mary) of Gravette, Ark.; her mother, Eva Smith of Rogers, Ark.; brothers, Timothy Smith (Misty) of Rogers and David Smith of Shawnee, Okla.; a sister, Sherry Pangle (Warren) of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; grandchild­ren, Patience, Robert and Tyler Townsend of Gravette; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation was in the chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Funeral service was Monday, Nov. 14, in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home.

A private family interment will be held at a later time.

Memorials are suggested to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, AR 72762.

Arrangemen­ts were under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

E. Burt Willoughby

E. Burt Willoughby, 69, died Nov. 10, 2016, in Bella Vista, Ark. He was born May 15, 1947, to Harley “HB” and Mary Eathel (Loving) Willoughby in Wentworth, Mo.

He was the husband of Freda (Baum) Willoughby.

He served as a U.S. Army Military Police Officer and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a plumbing and mechanical contractor who owned and operated several businesses throughout his career. He retired from constructi­on in 2015 and opened Willoughby Used Auto & Equipment.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, training his dog and spoiling his grandchild­ren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Willoughby; and sister, Lee Carter.

Survivors are his son, Edward Willoughby and wife, Diane of Joplin, Mo.; daughters, Michelle Thomas and husband, John of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Cara Kellhofer and husband, Todd of Bella Vista, Ark.; brothers, Earl (Dorothy) Willoughby, and Jack (Vicki) Willoughby, all of Bella Vista, and Garry (Martha) Willoughby of Monett, Mo.; sisters, Hetty Kyger of Elkins, Onieta (Bill) Pyle of Siloam Springs, Ark., Mary Fritz of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Wilma Kinder of Knob Noster, Mo.; six grandchild­ren, Dustin (Molly) Thomas, Tylor Thomas, Lorelei and Hayden Kellhofer, Camdyn and Kendyl Willoughby; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Shaska.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in Rollins Chapel.

Burial will follow the service in Bentonvill­e City Cemetery.
