Pea Ridge Times

Library using new software

- MEGAN BRYANT Pea Ridge Librarian

Hi Pea Ridge friends. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We have lots going on at the library the next couple weeks! But first I want to congratulate our Blackhawk football team on their recent success, and I wish you all the luck this Friday in Little Rock. It has been so much fun to attend the games and watch you all fight with so much heart. Be safe this weekend.

Story time meets at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday.

Adult book club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8.

There will be a free eye screening 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, hosted by the Lions Club at the library.

The Pea Ridge Community Library has exciting news. We have finally gone live with our new management software. Atriuum library management program offers us a highly advanced and robust on-line system giving the library and our patrons instant access to your library’s resources from any computer or mobile device. You can search the library catalog, view Book Lists, see “What’s new,” rate and review items, reserve items and manage your account and book bags. We also have automatic e-notifications for overdue or on-hold items and personalized watch lists of favorite authors, series or subjects. For the children, they can find what they are looking for with a fun visual search index. Our cartoon guide named Vizzie takes kids on an adventure exploring the library catalog.

The library will be closed Dec. 21 – 26 for the Christmas holiday. Be sure to come in by Tuesday, Dec. 20, to update your patron information and pick up some of our new books that we have coming in. We have had already had a handful of people rent our community room for events. Come in and reserve your date for your upcoming party or gathering.
