Martha June Becker
Martha June Becker, 73, of Pea Ridge, died Dec. 22, 2016. She was born on Sept. 17, 1943, in Ringwood, Okla., to Everett and Thelma Simons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry John Becker; and brothers, Gene and Jim Simons.
Survivors are her children, Mark Becker of Pea Ridge, Stan Becker (Linda) of Siloam Springs and Daniel Becker (Tracy) of Bentonville; grandchildren, Colleen and Everett Becker, Melanie Vantrease, Shelby Wilson; greatgrandchildren, Trevor, Alex, Kloe, Kylie; brothers, Kenneth and Carl Simons; and sister, Ruth Nightengale.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at Buttrams Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge.
J. Edward Gooch
J. Edward Gooch, 81, of Powell, Mo., died at home surrounded by family on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016. He was born in Mexico, Mo., on Feb. 17, 1935, to Helen Brown Gooch and Gene Kenneth Gooch.
He moved to Rogers to assist with the growing family business. Opening his own body shop “Gooch’s,” he soon became known for his competitive pricing and quality craftsmanship. He was best known for his honesty and integrity in business dealings throughout the four state area.
He was a veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors are his wife Brenda of 39 years; and children of this combined family, Gaye Neff of Rogers, Steve Gooch of Pea Ridge, Diane Gooch of Springdale, Beverly (Randall) Quillin of Arkadelphia, Justin Gooch of Fayetteville, Jeff (Corina) Rasor of Bridgman, Mich., Curtis Crouse of Powell, Mo., and Travis Crouse of Bella Vista; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gene Kenneth Gooch (Beth) of Batesville.
Visitation was at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23.
Celebration of Life was at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Bella Vista Baptist Church with Pastor Mike McCauley officiating.
