Frank Edmundson

Frank Edmundson, 91, of Van Buren, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, in Pea Ridge, Ark. He was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Almeda, Texas, to Frank and Mae Edmundson Sr.

He was a retired Civil Service employee at Fort Chaffee, and served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy; and his parents.

Survivors are two sons, Robert Edmundson and wife Gwen of Pea Ridge and Richard Edmundson and wife Kim of Bethlehem, Ga.; four grandchild­ren, Kelly Pyle of Van Buren, Caleb Barnett of Benton, Ark., Rachel Burns of Springfiel­d, Mo., and Jason Edmundson of Fort Smith, Ark.; and five great-grandchild­ren, Ethan Pyle, Corban Barnett, Maggie Burns, and Alexa and Chase Pyle.

Private burial of ashes will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, Ark.

Margaret Jo Lynch Gaston

Margaret Jo Lynch Gaston, 83, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., died Feb. 6, 2017, at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayettevil­le, Ark. She was born Nov. 7, 1933, in Brightwate­r, Ark., to Joseph Richard Lynch and Ida Mae Ruddick Lynch.

She was an elementary teacher for the Rogers and Fayettevil­le schools. She had a master’s degree in education from the University of Arkansas and was committed to the Christian ministry where she was regional director for Women Alive for several years. She was a spirit-filled Christian, a saint, a child of God, a prayer warrior, a woman of integrity who loved her family and friends. She was a master seamstress and made clothing for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joe Gaston.

Survivors are a son, Lance Gaston and wife Renee of West Fork, Ark.; a granddaugh­ter, Chantel Gaston of West Fork; a brother, Leo Lynch and wife Dorothy of Pea Ridge, Ark.; and several nieces and nephews

Visitation was at 10 a.m. Friday before the service.

Service was 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge.

Burial was in Pratt Cemetery.

Dwight Jasper Laird

Dwight Jasper Laird, 65, of Bentonvill­e, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017. He was born Sept. 9, 1951, in Huntsville, Ark., to Mary Ellen Stienberge­r Laird and Mar- vin Jasper Laird.

For more than 43 years, he was the husband of Barbara Laird.

He spent a lifetime in service coaching T-ball and Little League, was active as a Boy Scout leader and as a helpful friend to those at work or knew him. He loved a good practical joke as much as hunting, fishing, times shared with his grandchild­ren or watching his Razorbacks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, Judy Laird; and a brother, Russell Laird.

Survivors include his son, Matt Laird of Pea Ridge, Ark.; a sister, Debbie Siverly (Jeff) of Forum, Ark.; his brothers, Paul Laird (Donna) and Bob Laird, all of Rogers, Ark., and Harold Laird (Rita) of Pea Ridge; daughter-in-law, Charice Laird of Bentonvill­e; grandchild­ren, Hannah, Mason and Caitlyn; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, in Bentonvill­e Cemetery.

Charles Robert Sparks, 55, died in Bentonvill­e on Feb. 12. He was born May 8, 1961, in Tacoma, Wash., to Charles Idus and Jeweldean Cooksey Sparks.

Charles was a paramedic for over 20 years. He enjoyed reading, playing games, and four-wheeling in his Jeep.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Shannon Sparks of Rogers; one son, Robert Sparks of Rogers; one daughter, Tiffany Sparks of Pea Ridge; one brother, Rick Sparks and wife Suzett of Rogers; three grandchild­ren, Natalie, Sydney, and Blake Sparks; and two nieces, Katie and Amie Sparks.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, in the Mossville Cemetery in Newton County, Ark.

Randy Weddington

Randy Weddington, 66, of Eureka Springs, Ark., died Feb. 5, 2017.

Survivors include his lifetime companion, Jackie Weddington of Eureka Springs; half-brother, Preston Casey of Gateway, Ark.; half-sisters, Evening Star Walden of Gateway, Glenda Walden of Eureka Springs and Rhonda McCormick of Seligman, Mo.; an aunt, Laverne Welch of Gateway; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna Lucile Wasson

Anna Lucile Wasson, 50, of Pea Ridge, died, Feb. 10, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born Feb. 5, 1967, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to Jimmy Doyle McGee and Julia May Gibson McGee.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchild­ren and watching television. She loved elephants and attended The Ridge Church in Pea Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Jerry Lynn McGee.

Survivors are her husband, Gregory Wasson of the home; son, Gregory Dwayne Wasson II of Heber Springs; five brothers, Dennis McGee of Heber Springs, Rick Guthrie and wife Nina of Batesville, Ark., Robert Guthrie, John Guthrie and Gary Carmer of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Noma Barden and husband Tim of Heber Springs, Pam Raven of Batesville, Ark., and Shirley Meza of Omaha, Neb.; and two granddaugh­ters, Ariana and Annie McGee of Pea Ridge.
