Florence Helen Burkes
Florence Helen Burkes, 90, of Hindsville, Arkansas died May 27, 2017, in her home.
She was born July
3, 1926, in Gibbstown,
N.J.
She was retired from
Campbell Soup Company, attended the Huntsville Senior Activity Center and loved going to the casino.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. J. “Shorty” Burkes on Feb. 3, 2001; one son, Carl Burkes; and one brother, Robert Douglas.
Survivors include six sons and four daughtersin-law, Gary and Kathy Burkes of Springdale, Ark., Roy and Linda Burkes of Garfield, Ark., Larry Burkes and Sharla Johnson of Best, Ark., Michael Burkes and Dennis Burkes, both of Hindsville, Ark., and Richard Burkes of Clifty, Ark; four daughters and one son-in-law, Mary “Susie” McCollum of Lawrence, Kan., Linda and Larry Byers of Kingston, Ark., Shirley Jo Upson of Huntsville, Ark., and Cheryl Burkes of Goshen, Ark.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, in the funeral home with the family present.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Williams officiating.
Interment will be in the Shorty Burkes Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, Huntsville.
Pallbearers will be sons.
Harry ‘Mike” Michael Collins
Harry “Mike” Michael Collins, 74, of Pea Ridge died Monday, May 22, at Northwest Medical Hospital in Bentonville. He was born Jan. 25, 1943, in Independence, Mo., to Joseph John Collins and Edith Marie Cloverdyke Collins.
He married Judith Ann Allen Aug. 18, 1962, and worked as the warehouse manager for Metro Building Supply in Lowell. He loved fishing, ice cream, was an avid Kansas City Chiefs Fan and loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; three sisters; and two grandchildren, Dustin and Bridgette Stroud.
Survivors are his wife, Judith Collins of the home; three daughters, Julie Shiers of Pea Ridge, Michelle Swagerty and husband Donnie of Rogers and Stacie Klott and husband Greg of Harrison; a brother, Bill Collins of St. Charles, Mo; a sister, Margaret Boyd of Laporte, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation was at 9:30 a.m. Thursday before the service.
Service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, in Sisco Funeral Home Chapel in Pea Ridge with Pastor Al Fowler officiating.
Burial was in Buttram Chapel Cemetery.

Russ Lee (R.L.) Wade
Russ Lee (R.L.) Wade of Pea Ridge, Ark., died May 26, 2017, in his home. He was born
Nov. 28,
1948, in
Bentonville, Ark., to Ralph and Ruth Townzen
Wade.
He graduated from Bentonville High School in 1967. He served with the U.S. Navy he was honorably discharged on Feb. 12, 1981. He served many years as a police officer with the Bentonville Police Department where he received numerous awards including “Officer of the Year” and he later owned and operated Wades’ Classic Mustangs in Rogers, Ark.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, sports and classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ruth Townzen Wade; a sister, Barbara Jean Sterling; a brother, Billy Wade; and nephew, Curtis Wade Dial.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Julia Adcock Wade of the home; sisters, Hilda Coffelt of Centerton, Ark., and Deanna (Mike) Dial of Rogers, Ark.; brother, Ted (Kathy) Wade of Fayetteville, Ark.; daughters, Amy Button of Pea Ridge, Ark., Aneica Wade of Rogers, Brande Barnes of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Heather (Jordan) Keller of Rogers, Ark.; and son, Jeremy Wade of Pea Ridge, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday June 1, 2017, at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th, Rogers.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday June 1, 2017, with full military honors in the Wade family plot at the Bentonville Cemetery.
