Pea Ridge Farmers Market continues to see success

- SALLY CARROLL scarroll@nwadg.com

Despite a little rain, three diehard vendors shared their produce and veggies with neighbors at the Pea Ridge Farmers Market Sunday.

Organizer Carol Roper intends to open the market Thursday as well. Any updates on the market’s availability, due to the weather, can be found on the Pea Ridge Farmers Market’s Facebook page.

A little bit of summer rain is great for the summer produce, and the rain predicted for later this week likely won’t deter vendors and customers from doing business at the market.

In fact, Roper sold out of her tomatoes on Sunday, and plans to team up with her regular Thursday vendors to show and sell their produce.

On Sundays, J.D. Hudson sells pork, beef and eggs, as well as ice cream and sodas. A large variety of veggies and produce is available, as well as honey, jams and jellies.

Roper also plans to bring celery plants to market to sell.
