The Accident School reunion will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. History of Bella Vista
Carole Harter, past president of the Bella Vista Historical Museum, will present a program entitled, “The Linebargers’ Bella Vista,” at noon Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. Harter is the granddaughter of Clarence Linebarger, who was general manager and part owner of Bella Vista resort from 1917 to 1952.
The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History will open Modern Times, a new permanent exhibit exploring the region’s recent history of 1950 to the present, Saturday, Oct. 9.
“The modern era in northwest Arkansas can be summed up in two words: ‘growth’ and ‘change.’ The exhibit takes a look at the driving forces
behind that growth and change: Beaver Lake, the rise of the poultry, retail, transportation, and tourism industries, and the University of Arkansas,” said Susan Young, museum outreach coordinator and curator of the exhibit.
