Russell DeWayne Johnson

Russell DeWayne Johnson, 72, of Garfield, died Feb. 14, 2018, in his home. He was born Sept. 10, 1945, in Busch, Ark., to Charles Eugene and Cleva Susie Gunnels Johnson.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked at the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, retiring in 2011 after 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bentonvill­e.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfathe­r who was saved and loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his loving wife of 41 years, Mary (Nancy) Johnson; his children, Stacy Johnson (Bryan) Perry and Stephanie Carson, all of of Springdale, Ark., Holly (Ronald) Kelly of Gravette, Ark., and Robert (Tammy) Taylor of Garfield, Ark.; two brothers, Lewis Boyd of Berryville, Ark., and Richard Boyd of Guthrie, Okla.; three sisters, Carolyn Wolfinbarg­er of Garfield, Ark., Marilyn Sparks of Arlington, Texas, and Virginia Scates of Pineville, Mo.; 13 grandchild­ren; and four great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation was 12:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, in the First Baptist Church of Bentonvill­e in Bentonvill­e, Ark.

A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, with military honors.

Memorial contributi­ons can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the NRA.

Joe Lester Nix

Joe Lester Nix, 79, of Pineville, Mo., died Feb. 18, 2018, in his home. He was born Jan.

7, 1939, in Red Oak, Okla., to Bennie Nix and Bonnie Helen Estes Nix.

He married Joyce Ann Frey on Oct. 13, 1962, in Stockton, Calif. He was a self employed contractor, loved to build furniture and do woodworkin­g. He was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father; a daughter, Brenda Briggs; and two brothers, Leroy and Lenard Nix.

Survivors are his wife Joyce Nix of the home; his mother, Bonnie Helen Nix of Chester, S.C.; a son, Michael Nix and wife Heidi, of Pineville, Mo.; three sisters, Leona Green of Chester, S.C., Bonnie Ogden of S.C., and Ruby Tucker of Ogden, Utah; and a granddaugh­ter, Jamie Lynn Krushas.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, in Eastside Assembly of God in Bentonvill­e.

Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Michelle Timmons

Michelle Timmons, 53, of Rogers, Ark., died Feb. 15, 2018.

Michelle’s family loved her dearly.

Survivors are her mother Molly; daughter, Jennifer; and brother, Brian.

Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at First Baptist Church in Bentonvill­e.

Garland Lee Gregory

Garland Lee Gregory, 67 of Lowell, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born April 25, 1950, in Santa Rosa, Calif., to Garner and Lilian Bailey Gregory.

He worked for Allen in the maintenanc­e department. He liked hunting and fishing. He enjoyed going four wheeling, going to storage auctions and was the best fish fryer. He loved his family.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn Johns, Lena Sisco and Debbie Bowden; two brothers, Wayne and Joe Gregory; and one grandson, Jayden Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Shelle Jones Gregory of the home; two sons, Leslie Jones and wife Courtney of Iowa and Jediah Haley of Berryville; one daughter, Shawna Gregory of Springdale; two brothers, Terry Gregory of Pettigrew and James Gregory and wife Gwyn of Lowell; three granddaugh­ters, Taylor and Taryn Stevens and Kiya Jones; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Jones and wife Gloria of Lowell and Jackie Jones of Rogers; a sister-in-law, Kelly Edwards and husband Patrick of Garfield; several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Visitation was noon - 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, in Sisco Funeral Home, Springdale.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb.
