Sunday, Feb. 25

9:30 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Nicole Jasmine McCannon, 20, Rogers, 20, Rogers, in connection with possession of a controlled substance.

Monday, Feb. 26

12:26 p.m. A resident of Hayden Road reported that she found a stray dog at City Park. An employee of the Street Department was called to transport the dog to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic.

2 p.m. Police received a report of vehicle tags missing from a city vehicle.

3:02 p.m. Police received a report of a reckless driver at the post office. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested Tyler Lee Shelton, 21, Garfield, cited with DWI, refusal to submit, speed limits and careless and prohibited.

3:29 p.m. Police were dispatched to Pickens Street near White Lane for a three-vehicle motor-vehicle accident involving vehicles driven by Ana Gonzalez-Angeles 27, Pea Ridge; David Wayne Dewitt, 37, Seligman, Mo.; and a 16-year-old female. There were no injuries reported. The juvenile was cited for careless and prohibited driving.

6:02 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Greene Street for an animal bite involving a 25-year-old who was bitten. As a result of the investigat­ion, police cited the dog’s owner Kimberly Stevens, 23, Pea Ridge, dog at large. The owner was able to provide proof of rabies vaccinatio­n.

10:57 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Gary Euel Cannady, 50, Bentonvill­e, on warrants from Springdale, Bentonvill­e and Siloam Springs; and Amanda Jo Owensby, 35, Washburn, Mo., was cited for no proof of insurance.

Wednesday, Feb. 28

6:10 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested Austin Blade Tanner 19, Bella Vista, on a contempt of court warrant from Rogers.

12 p.m. As a result of an investigat­ion, police cited a 17-year-old male on the charge of disorderly conduct in connection with using profanity and ethnic slurs against a teacher as well as other disruptive behaviors at school.

3:24 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on South Davis Street for a report of two pit bull dogs loose in the area that were aggressive and chasing a man. The dogs returned to their home, a residence on Rains Street. The owner, Stevi Lucas, 30, Pea Ridge, was issued a citation.

3:59 p.m. An anonymous caller reported a dog running loose on John Montgomery Circle and acting aggressive­ly. Police found what appeared to be the dog’s residence but were unable to contact the residents. The dog was transporte­d to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic by an employee of the Street Department. On March 3, Tanzee Mariconi, 29, Pea Ridge, claimed the dog. She was issued a citation for dog at large.

5:10 p.m. Police were approached by a resident of Garfield at the Police station with two small stray Chihuahuas found at the intersecti­on of Pickens Road and North Davis Street and she was concerned they would be hit in traffic. The dogs were taken to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. On March 3, Roberto Vargas claimed the dogs. Vargas, 53, Pea Ridge, was issued a citation for two counts of dog at large.

Thursday, March 1

7:30 a.m. The parents of a 15-yearold male reported to the School Resource Officer that their son had received a concussion and other injuries as a result of a fight the previous day in school and requested a police report on the incident which was handled by school officials.

11:47 a.m. Police received a report of two aggressive pit bulls walking around a neighborho­od near Rains and Davis streets. According to the police report, the dogs were dealt with the previous

day and the owner was instructed to repair the fence. Police said the dogs were captured and transporte­d to the Pea Ridge Vet.

8:20 p.m. Police received a report of an injured dog at a residence on Oakley Street. The incident is under investigat­ion.

Friday, March 2

6:17 a.m. Police and Fire Department personnel were dispatched to Wade Lane for a report of a vehicle driving over a gas meter. A witness reported a vehicle hit the meter and left the area. An employee of Black Hills Gas Company estimated the damage to be around $11,000.

12:20 p.m. Police were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident on Ryan Road involving a Chevrolet pick up truck driven by Mason Rice, 18, Pea Ridge. Rice said he was not injured. According to police, the southbound truck went off the road, hit a tree and was on its side in a ditch. The tree fell onto the roadway. It was removed by personnel from the Street Department.

3:27 p.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on East Patton Street for a found dog. A resident told police he found the“small black dog”in a field and chained to a 20-pound dumbbell. The resident transporte­d the dog to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. Police later received a message from Emily Copp that she could not find her husband’s dog which she had chained to a dumbbell in a front yard on North Davis Street. Police told her the dog was impounded and could be picked up Monday.
