Brightwate­r and Pea Ridge United Methodist churches

Passion/Palm Sunday worship service is slated for 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 25, at Brightwate­r and 11 a.m. at Pea Ridge celebratin­g Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem; palms will be distribute­d.

Maundy Thursday Tenebrae service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Brightwate­r. A light soup will be served.

Combined Children’s Easter egg hunt and activities are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Brightwate­r UMC, U.S. Highway 62. Each church is seeking donations of plastic eggs and bags of individual­ly wrapped candies for the hunt. Please remember the “No peanut” rule for those who may have allergies to peanuts.

Combined Sunrise service with breakfast to follow will begin at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, April 1, at Pea Ridge United Methodist Church, North Davis Street. There will be regular worship services at Brightwate­r at 9:30 a.m. and at Pea Ridge at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 1, Easter Sunday.

Episcopal Church Pea Ridge

Angel’s Share food pantry is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second Saturday of each month at 1300 N. Davis St.

The Episcopal Church meets at 10 a.m. Sundays and holy days as scheduled. It meets at 16375 Don McCalliste­r Road. The lay minister/pastor is James Crews. For informatio­n, contact 479-372-3765.

First Baptist Church Pea Ridge

Wednesday night services include 5 p.m. dinner, 6 p.m. BLAST (Bible Learners and Sharers Together), 6 p.m. youth and 6:30 p.m. adult Bible study.

Faith Riders meet the second Saturday of every month and have weekly Thursday night dinners.

Sunday services begin at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday school is at 11 a.m. on Sundays.

Pea Ridge Free Will Baptist Church

All Titus II meetings are on the second Saturday of the month beginning at 10 a.m. We welcome anyone interested to join us.

Messiah Lutheran Church, Pea Ridge

Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 30.

Easter breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 1.

Easter service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 1.

Mt. Vernon Presbyteri­an Pea Ridge

A pancake breakfast is held the second Saturday of each month at Mt. Vernon. The goal is to provide a meal to anyone who needs one; the focus is the youth of the area. Many children go through the entire weekend without a hot meal, some without a meal at all. The breakfast is free to all who come. Children, adults, grandpas and grandmas are welcome — we feed everyone and anyone.

New Prospect Baptist Garfield

Sunrise services on Easter will start at 6:45 a.m. Pot luck breakfast will follow. Regular service will start at 10 a.m for Sunday School and church at 11 a.m.. Children will celebrate Easter during worship and egg hunt right after services.

The Ridge Community Church

The annual Easter egg hunt is slated for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, in Blackhawk Stadium. Regitratio­n is at 10 a.m and the hunt is at 11 a.m. Easter Sunday services are at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Westside Baptist Church Pea Ridge

AWANA Club meets from 5:30 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday for children ages 2 years old to eighth grade. Come early to register children. A hot meal will be served at 5:30 p.m.; classes are 6:307:30 p.m. Playtime is at 7:30 p.m. and dismissal is at 8 p.m. For additional informatio­n, call 479-721-2824.

Adult Bible study and worship service is at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Sunday service starts at 10:45 a.m. and Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Come and join us for breakfast served Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m.
