Tyler Lee Shelton

Tyler Lee Shelton, 21, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died March 22, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in

Rogers, Ark.

He was born

1996, in Tahlequah,

Okla., to

Eddie Lee

Shelton and

Geri Lynn Weston Shelton.

He was a 2015 graduate of Pea Ridge High School and attended NWACC majoring in Industrial Mechanical Engineerin­g. He attended Camp War Eagle, was a member of SEEK, FBLA and earned his arrow of light badge in Cub Scouts. He played footall for the Pea Ridge Blackhawks and he began playing the trombone in sixth grade, later becoming a member of the Pea Ridge Blackhawk Band. He attended the University of Central Arkansas Band Camp for several years and loved music. He enjoyed playing video games, reading, working on his car, canoeing and was a marksman with his recurve bow. Tyler was a member of the Choctaw Indian Nation and attended Mt. Vernon Presbyteri­an Church.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors are his mother, Geri Shelton of the home and many friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Service is set for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, in First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge with pastor Matt Noetzel officiatin­g. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Garry Thomas Armer, Jr.

Garry Thomas Armer, Jr., 59, of Pea Ridge, died March 23 in his home. He was born Sept. 27, 1958, in Granby, Colo., to Garry Thomas Armer and Frankie Mae Hickman Armer.

He was retired from Rogers City Water Department and was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his father; and a infant son, Jason Armer.

Survivors are his mother, Frankie Armer of Pea Ridge; a sister, Susan Bounds of Pea Ridge; his ex-wife, Vicki Armer of Pea Ridge; and several neices and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins in the Harrison, Ark., area.

A private family service will be held at a later date with burial in the Plumley Cemetery, Compton, Ark.

Cremation arrangemen­ts were by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

John Lee Wells

John Lee Wells, 72, Rogers, died March 19, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on Aug. 30, 1945, in Salinas, Calif., to Alex and Dorothy Wells.

He graduated from Bentonvill­e High School in 1963. He enjoyed outdoor activities, sports, and excelled in Tiger football his senior year, earning AllState honors as a running back. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in Thailand during the Vietnam War.

In 1977, John married Vicki Wilks, and he was a loving husband to her for 40 years until his passing.

He played youth baseball, and enjoyed, rooted for, and supported area teams, Hobbs State Park and the Razorbacks. He was friends with notable area business and profession­al leaders, celebritie­s, athletes and musicians, who liked his fried catfish meals and hospitalit­y.

John was an ambassador of good will, good food, and great smiles! In 1988 he became the founding owner (with his family’s support) of Catfish John’s restaurant on Ark. Highway 102 in Rogers. His love for people was expressed daily in handshakes and personal table visits with customers. “How are you folks doing today?” he usually asked. John’s keen sense of humor would lighten the hearts of all who came in.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Don, Louis and Rex Wells; and one sister, Emma Yates.

Survivors are his wife, Vicki; sons, Mike, Chad and John David (Ellisa); sisters, Jane Knox (Al) and Bobbie Ann Davis (Glen); nine grandchild­ren; four greatgrand­children; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebratio­n of John’s life will be held at his home at 1 p.m. on April 7.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Cooper Max Foundation, 2520 CR 531, Burleson, Texas, 76028; and The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation, 6518 Timber Ridge Drive, Rogers, AR, 72758.

Carlton Shelby Yates

Carlton Shelby Yates, 71, of Garfield, Ark., died March 22, 2018, in Mercy Hopital in Rogers, Ark. He was born Dec. 13, 1946, in New Port, Ark., to Shelby Waddle Yates and Margie Elsie Cook Yates.

He was a farmer and loved fishing, karaoke, working on cars, tinkering, and working in the outdoors. He loved his grandchild­ren and greatgrand­children and attended Brightwate­r Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Alvin Marshall.

Survivors are his wife, Lee Ann Yates of the home; three sons, Carl Yates of Moody, Ala., Chancey Rucker and wife Jill of Garfield and Joshua Rucker of Garfield; a daughter, Sherry Yates of Pea Ridge, Ark.; three brothers, Roy Yates and wife Brenda of Bentonvill­e, Ark., Gene Yates and wife Liz of Alicia, Ark., and Johnny Yates and wife Donna of Alicia; three sisters, Helen Hollis of Rogers, Lucille Adams and husband Russell of Centerton, Ark., and Gail Arnold of Pineville, Mo.; five grandchild­ren; and four greatgrand­children.

Visitation was at 10 a.m. Monday before the service at the church.

Service was at noon Monday, March 26, at Brightwate­r United Methodist Church.

Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Burial was in Pratt Cemetery.

Tim Wallace

Tim Wallace, 54, of Washburn, Mo., died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, in Joplin,

Mo. He was born in Newport, Ark., to Bill Wallace and Celia Lowe Wallace.

He married DiAnna (Williams) Wallace June 17, 1989. He graduated from Southweste­rn Baptist Theologica­l Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, in December 1996. For the past 21 years, he was a church planter, pastoring three churches in Northwest Arkansas: New Life Fellowship in Pea Ridge, Ark., Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Bentonvill­e, Ark., and Corner Post Cowboy Church in Siloam Springs, Ark. He also helped start 16 Cowboy churches across the state of Arkansas. He enjoyed horseback riding, kayaking, laughing, leading people into a relationsh­ip with Jesus, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by an unborn child.

Survivors are his wife, DiAnna Wallace of the home; a daughter, Bailey Wallace of the home; his father, Bill Wallace of Conway, Ark.; his mother, Celia Wallace of Bella Vista, Ark.; and two brothers, Tommy Wallace and wife Paula of Conway and Jonathan Wallace and wife Kelly of Maumelle, Ark.

Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, in First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge.

Service is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in Cross Church Pinnacle Hills in Rogers.

Arrangemen­ts are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

Burial will be in Fox Cemetery in Powell, Mo.
