Pea Ridge Times

Friends of Library are grateful

- ALEX WRIGHT Pea Ridge Librarian

Greetings Library family. This week’s article is brought to you by the Friends of the Pea Ridge Community Library.

On Saturday, March 24, the Friends of the Pea Ridge Community Library and The Cottage Flower Shop brought some Easter magic to town. Bunnies, beautiful weather, and a blue-ribbon location allowed for a successful fundraiser. Participants were able to choose either an indoor or outdoor setting to have pictures taken of their children with a live bunny. At the end of the day, many adorable kids helped feed carrots to the happy rabbits!

The Friends of the Library group is working hard to raise money and awareness about the local library and all it has to offer the Pea Ridge community. Their goal is to support the Library and enable it to bring needed resources and programs close to home. With the funds raised on Saturday, the Friends of the Library will pursue purchasing a movie license which will equip the Library to host future fun events for the area.

The Board of Directors of the Friends of the Library would like to thank Mechel Wall, owner of The Cottage Flower Shop and Wallflower Farms, for allowing us to use her property for this event. Also, a big thank you to those who came and saw our bunnies and allowed us to capture sweet memories of your little ones. Your support goes a long way in bettering our already wonderful community. •••
