Charles Vere Marshall

Charles Vere Marshall, 79, of Little Flock, Ark., died on March 29, 2018. He was born on

July 7, 1938, in Clarksburg, W.V., to Gerald and Sylba

(Varner)

Marshall.

He graduated from Cedarville High School in 1956 and from Grand Valley State in 1963 with a B.S in Education and a major in Industrial Arts. His began his career as a teacher and transition­ed to buildings maintenanc­e roles at Los Angeles Baptist College and Wheaton College from which he retired after 27 years in 2003.

He married Genola Rose Tettaton in Amherst, Ohio, on Jan. 25, 1964. They celebrated 52 years of marriage in 2016 before Genola’s passing on April 29, 2016. They had three children, Lisa (Leonard Watson), Steve (Erin), and Aaron (Jaye T.).

He was a faithful follower of Jesus and was always devoted and active in a local church, serving often as Sunday School teacher, deacon or committee member. His dedication, consistent church attendance and involvemen­t impacted many lives and served as an example to all who knew him. His intense work ethic and sense of responsibi­lity characteri­zed every aspect of his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Genola, and his sister, Linda (Lapp).

Survived include all three of his children and their spouses along with his five grandchild­ren, Lisa and Leonard Watson, Steve and Erin Marshall, Paxton and Calianne, Aaron and Jaye T. Marshall, Jackson, Lily and Emma Grace; a brother-inlaw, Dick (Linda) Lapp; and nieces, Karen (Kim) Gerber and Laura Lapp.

Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, in Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, in Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers.

Burial will be in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens.

Mildred Lucille Patton

Mildred Lucille Patton, 97, of Pea Ridge, died March 30 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonvill­e. She was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Moorewood, Okla., to William Thomas

Hart and Eltha Pearl Piper Hart.

She retired from Emerson Electric in Rogers. She made pillows for Granny’s Quilts of Love for many years, loved to make crafts and travel. She was a member of the Pea Ridge Historical Society and a life long member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church in Garfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Patton; two brothers, Clifford Clark and Leonard Hart; five sisters, Minnie Taylor, Ada Dean, Fern Hall, Inez Lowery and Beatrice Putman; a sonin-law, Jimmy Daniel; and two great-grandsons, Lance Miller and Logan Jordan.

Survivors are three daughters, Nancy Jordan and husband J.W. of Pea Ridge, Lela Daniel of Rogers and Donna Kiper and husband Lynn of Rogers; six grandchild­ren; seven great-grandchild­ren and two great-great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation began at 1 p.m. Monday before the service at the funeral home.

Service was at 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge with pastors David Austin and Bonnie Austin officiatin­g.

Burial was in Buttram Chapel Cemetery.

Janice Marie Herron Raymer

Janice Marie Herron Raymer, 83, died March 27, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. She was born Sept. 18, 1934, at Arickaree, Colo., to Burnell and Maxine Janice Norman Herron.

She worked 40 years as a caregiver and earned her CNA license at the age of 70 years. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and fought a battle with it coming out a winner with God’s grace and a lot of prayers.

She was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Sylvia Herron; two nephews, Lee II and Burnell B. Herron II; and one granddaugh­ter, Sarah Renee Mitchell.

Survivors are a sister, Ann Schauf of Pea Ridge; one daughter and sonin-law, Jeanne and Doug Mitchell of Wichita, Kan.; one granddaugh­ter, Amy and husband Matt Trudell of Wichita; two greatgrand­daughters, Riley and Addisyn Trudell of Wichita; two loyal and loving friends, Donna Collins and Deb Derozier who served Janice and her sister Ann as caregivers; the Garry Raymer family; several nieces, nephews; her church family who she loved dearly; and a host of friends.

Visitation was noon to 2 p.m. Saturday in Westside Baptist Church in Pea Ridge before the service.

A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Pea Ridge Cemetery.

Rutha Joyce Reddell

Rutha Joyce Reddell, 91, died March 25, 2018, surrounded by family. She was born to Will and Nervia Dickey Horn on Jan. 18, 1927, on Peter Point Mountain in Newton County, Ark.

She was the eighth of 10 children.

She married Orphus Burline Reddell, her husband of 66 years, on June 22, 1942. Together they raised two children while running their poultry and cattle farm. She worked for Purina, Pel-Freez in Rogers, and Emerson Electric until she and Orphus retired. Upon retirement they explored the world in their camper.

She loved to camp, travel, fish, quilt, knit, crochet and spend time with family. Her hobbies included playing board games and dominoes.

She was preceded in death by husband, Orphus; and her siblings, Edgar Horn, Cora Horn, Hazel Horn Reddell, Alma Horn Wabutski, Roy Horn, Cecil Horn, Walker Horn and John Horn.

Survivors are her sister, Willa Jean Horn Taylor; sister-in-law, Mary Gregory; son, Burline Reddell and his wife, Janice, of Pea Ridge, Ark.; daughter, Pauline Smith of Bentonvill­e, Ark.; three grandchild­ren, Teresa Bush and her husband, Darrel Bush, of Cave Springs, Ark., Tim Reddell and his wife, Dawn, of Bentonvill­e, and Jerry Beaver and his wife, Jamie, of Pea Ridge; five greatgrand­children, Garrett and wife Naomi Bush, Parker and wife Sierra Bush, Ryan and Ryleigh Reddell, Abbi Beaver; two step-greatgrand­children, Kaycie Graves and Krysta Nash; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, in Cave Springs Church of Christ.

Burial was in Pea Ridge Cemetery.
