Tuesday, March 20

2:08 p.m. Police were notified that a city employee had“seized”a dog that was running at large inside the city limits and taken it to the Pea Ridge Vet Clinic. On March 21, Whitney Michelle Wright, 26, Pea Ridge, claimed the dog and was given a citation for dog at large.

Wednesday, March 21

3:21 a.m. Police were dispatched to a business on North Curtis Avenue for a shopliftin­g report.The clerk said he stopped a young man who was attempting to shoplift. As a result of the investigat­ion, police issued a no trespass warning

and a citation for curfew violation to a 17-year-old male from Missouri.

11:05 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on Captain Good Street for a breaking and entering report involving a padlock cut from a payment box and cash, check and money order removed.

11:45 p.m. Police worked together to stop a vehicle that fled when one officer attempted to stop it during a traffic stop. A second officer was able to approach from the opposite direction of the fleeing vehicle on Linder Street. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested Cornelius Dee McFadden, 37, Springdale, on charges of fleeing, careless/prohibitiv­e driving, driver’s license suspended and speeding. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Polk County for contempt of court.

Thursday, March 22

8:41 a.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police cited Deandria D. Alterici, 19, Pea Ridge, in connection with possession of drug parapherna­lia.

Friday, March 23

1:59 a.m. Police were dispatched to a residence on McCulloch Street for a suspicious circumstan­ce involving a male coming to the residence claiming he lived there. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested Christophe­r Calvin, Meeker, 39, Pea Ridge, in connection with public intoxicati­on.

12:33 p.m. Police received a report of damage to the lights and concession stand at the Pea Ridge Youth Sports field on Weston Street. There were items missing and damaged inside the building, as well. The incident is under investigat­ion.

4:03 p.m. Police were dispatched to a motor-vehicle accident that had happened on South Curtis Avenue near Lee Town Road. According to the report, a northbound vehicle driven by Christophe­r C. Moore, 19, Pea Ridge, who said he struck the vehicle in front of him. That vehicle was driven by Evan Green, 18, Bentonvill­e. There were no injuries reported.

4:09 p.m. Police were notified of a young female (about 3-4 years of age) unattended and asleep in the back seat of a vehicle in a business parking lot. The vehicle was unlocked and running. As a result of the investigat­ion, police cited Joseph Norsworthy, 36, Rogers, in connection with second degree endangerin­g the welfare of a minor.

8:38 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police arrested a 17-year-old female on a Rogers warrant and turned her over to Rogers Police.

Saturday, March 24

2:51 a.m. As a result of an investigat­ion, police arrested Coby Francisco Martinez, 19, Rogers, in connection with public intoxicati­on, possession of drug parapherna­lia and contributi­ng to the delinquenc­y of a minor. Juvenile citations for possession of drug parapherna­lia and violation of curfew were issued to a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female. The 17-year-old male was also issued a citation for violation of license restrictio­ns. Both juveniles were released to relatives.

1:45 p.m. Police were notified that a runaway juvenile from Springdale was possibly in Pea Ridge. As a result of the investigat­ion, the 17-year-old female was found in an apartment with a 19-year-old male. She was returned to her guardian.

4:44 p.m. As a result of a traffic stop, police charged a 17-year-old male with possession of drug parapherna­lia, obstructio­n

of government­al operations and resisting arrest; and a 16-year-old male with possession of drug parapherna­lia.

10:30 p.m. Police were notified of suspicious activity in a parking lot on South Curtis Avenue. The male passenger ran away from police and during the chase, police deployed a taser, immobilizi­ng the man. As a result of the investigat­ion, police arrested Perry David Baker, 31, Rogers, in connection with possession of methamphet­amine with purpose to deliver, non-financial identity fraud, felony possession of drug parapherna­lia, possession of a controlled substance Sch. VI and fleeing. Baker was also wanted on felony warrants from Washington and Benton counties and warrants out of Bentonvill­e for failure to appear.

Sunday, March 25

2:26 p.m. Police received a report of a break-in at the school ball fields concession

stands on It’ll Do Road.

Monday, March 26

6:42 a.m. Police were dispatched to a report of a motor-vehicle accident at Curtis Avenue and Slack Street and discovered there had not been a collision. A hub meter fell off an 18-wheel tractor trailer and a passing vehicle ran over it and it became stuck around the front tire of the vehicle.

Tuesday, March 27

10:23 a.m. Police were dispatched to Pea Ridge Storage on Weston Street for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. A resident of Bella Vista reported a camping trailer had been broken into and items were missing.

4:30 p.m. Police received informatio­n that a gas meter had been driven over by a vehicle that left the scene. Black Hills Energy was on the scene and said they did not need a report.
