Car Show slated

The 12th annual Freedom Fest Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30, in Pea Ridge City Park. Registrati­on will be 9 a.m. to noon. Judging will be from 11 a.m. to

2 p.m. Awards will be presented at 3 p.m.

There will be separate classes for original or modified. There is a $20 registrati­on fee and $10 for additional vehicles. There will be dash plaques and goody bags for the first 100 entries. Food will be provided by The Ridge Church. There will be a 50/50 pot/wipe out board/ door prizes. Tonya Bryant will be the disc jockey.

Awards include the top two cars in each class, best of show, people’s choice, best car club participat­ion, and furthest distance. Categories include:

Original cars: 19001949, 1950-1959, 1960-1969, 1970-1979, 1980-1999 and 1990-current. Modified cars: 19001949, 1950-1959, 1960-1969, 1970-1979, 1980-1999 and 1990-current. Original trucks: 19001949; 1950-1972, 1973-1989 and 1990-current. Modified trucks: 19001949; 1950-1972, 1973-1989 and 1990-current. Additional categories, first place trophies only: Rat Rods, Motorcycle­s, 21 & under.

The car show is sponsored by New Life Fellowship Church, Ridge Community Church, Assembly of God, Emerson Group, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Arvest Bank, Equity Bank and others. Proceeds benefit Bright Futures of Pea Ridge.
