Alonzo ‘Lonnie’ Lewis Farrar
Alonzo “Lonnie” Lewis Farrar, 85, of Little Flock, formerly of Fayetteville, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, in Rogers. He was born June 25, 1933, in Fayetteville to Cecil and Angie Lewis Farrar.
He was a longtime member and elder of the Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville before relocating to Little Flock and becoming a member of the Bella Vista Church of Christ. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict before returning home and joining the Fayetteville Fire Department, rising to the position of assistant fire chief. After his retirement from the fire department, he worked for Fayetteville Plumbing and Heating.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Laney and Mary Camp; and two brothers, Larry Kay Farrar and Cecil Allen Farrar.
Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Emma Mae (Skelton) Farrar; one son, Steve Farrar and his wife Melissa of Little Rock; one daughter, Connie Horton and her husband Chris of Little Flock; sister, Doris Hutchins of Greenland; brother, Ronnie Farrar of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Lana Hartzog and her husband Bobby, Alicia Goodson and her husband Denny, Kerri Ross and her husband Brad, Andrew Farrar, London Hall and her husband Riley, Turner Horton and his wife Kate, and Emma Kate Horton; and three great-grandchildren, Connor Goodson, Cameron Goodson and Riley Ross.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, in Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Center Street Church of Christ in Fayetteville with burial to follow at Baptist Ford Cemetery.

Robert Lee Hamilton
Robert Lee Hamilton, 88, of Garfield, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, in his home. He was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Wynn, to Charles M. and Martha Hamilton.
He retired from the U.S. Marines as a gunnery sergeant serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Korea and Vietnam.
He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Hamilton; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors are a daughter, Kathrine LeAnn Hamilton of Garfield; one brother, Gilford Hamilton of Ferriday, La.; one sister, Nita Hamilton of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and many friends.
Services will be held at a later date.

Laura Mae Miller-Sypult
Laura Mae Miller-Sypult, 91, of Rogers, died Oct. 15, 2018. She was born Sept. 26, 1927, in Smackover, to Linard Willis and Omey Rowell Willis.
She was united in marriage to Zern T. Miller and they enjoyed many years of marriage with Zern passing away in 1979. She married Robert Sypult in 1985 and he passed away in 2009.
She enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting, camping and gardening. She was also a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Zern Miller, and second husband, Robert Sypult; one son, Randall Miller; brother, Leon Willis; and sister, Irene Hess.
Survivors are her son, Kirby Miller and wife Donna of Greenville, S.C.; daughters, Laurie Miller of Rogers, Naomi Brown and husband Marty of Pea Ridge and Kathy Wilks of Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Margie Pitcock and Dorothy Whitaker; nine grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family wishes to thank Superior Senior Care and Arkansas Hospice for their excellent care.
The family was to receive guests from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
Graveside services were set for 2 p.m. Monday in the Benton County Memorial Park.
Arrangements were with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
Victor Ocote
Victor Ocote, 49, of Rogers, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, in Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born Dec. 16, 1968, in Santa Cruz, Mexico, to Maximino and Antonia Isidro Ocote.
He loved upkeeping and landscaping his yard to keep it nice and beautiful; he was a very hard worker and provider. He loved his wife and did anything for her. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He never met a stranger and he was loved by everyone.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and father-in-law, Bobby Dunning.
Survivors include his wife, Shellie Ocote; son, Steven Harvery and wife Jamie; daughters, Cassandra Zuchowski and husband Bobby and Tearsa Johnson and husband Johnathan; five brothers; two stepbrothers; three brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; his motherin-law, Sandra Dunning; and grandchildren, Cloe, Jon “Bubby,” Triston, Abby, Makiya, Braiden and Brecken.
Visitation was from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, in the First Assembly of God Church in Pea Ridge.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, in First Assembly of God Church, 577 Weston St., in Pea Ridge, with pastor Edwin Brewer and Doug Dunning officiating.
Burial followed in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Avoca.
Arrangements were by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers.
Willie ‘Bill’ Triche Jr.
Willie “Bill” Triche Jr., 88, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in Little Flock.
He was a native of Ponchatoula, La., and former resident of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Kraft Triche.
Survivors are his son, Steven Triche; daughters, Karen Goerlitz and husband, Alton Goerltiz, and Lisa Richard, and husband, Cary Richard; four grandchildren; and one brother.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 20, in Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.
