Barbara Jean Landreth

Barbara Jean Landreth, 63, of Garfield, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, in Mercy

Hospital in Rogers.

She was born Aug.

23, 1956, in

Rogers, to

J.T. Webb and Opal

Faye Tate Webb.

She was a licensed practical nurse and worked as a safety nurse at Simmons. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheelers, vegetable and flower gardening, making people laugh and never finished a conversati­on without saying “I love you.”

For the last two years she was a caregiver for her dad. She was a member of Twelve Corners Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Landreth; her mother, Opal Webb; and a sister, Joyce Brown.

Survivors are her companion of 15 years, Paul Bell of the home; a son, Joshua Morris and wife Crystal of Seligman, Mo.; one brother, Roy Webb of Seligman; three grandchild­ren, Alexis, Brooklyn and Levi; and many friends.

Visitation was from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge.

A graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Twelve Corners Cemetery.

Marvin W. ‘Marv’ Shepard

Marvin W. (Marv) Shepard, 85, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, in Circle of Life Hospice, at Legacy Village in Bentonvill­e after a three-and-a-half-year battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 13, 1934, to Harley and Margaret (Maybon) Shepard in Edison, Neb.

Upon graduation from high school in Cheyenne, Wyo., Marv served his country in the Navy on the “USS Bon Homme Richard” aircraft carrier. Thereafter, he attended the University of Wyoming earning his B.S. degree in business administra­tion and became a devoted member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. He was an avid scuba diver. He achieved his PADI Divemaster certificat­ion and traveled the world diving in exotic places. After retiring from the Bell Telephone Systems with 33 years of service, he began his underwater video business in the Caribbean. In 1993 he and his wife moved from Colorado to Eureka Springs, where they owned and operated “The Brownstone Inn” Bed & Breakfast for many years. Later, he obtained his realtor license and joined Century 21 Woodland Real Estate. He was active in the community and cherished all of the friendship­s he made along the way. After moving to Pea Ridge he continued his real estate career and then began a new career with The Lyle Company, a partner of American Tower Corporatio­n, as an Independen­t lease consultant and remained employed and active until a month before he passed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his “Old English Sheepdog fur babies” Alfred, Reginald and Theodore.

Survivors are his wife of 38 years, Donna; brother, Donald E. Shepard of Cheyenne, Wyo.; daughter, Robi Diane (Mark) Chalmers, Australia; two granddaugh­ters, Devan (Joshua) Lockwood and Casie Chalmers, both of Australia; two nephews; one niece; and many friends.

A celebratio­n of life will be held at a future date.

Memorial contributi­ons may be made in his name to the Good Shepherd Humane Society, Eureka Springs, Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village, Bentonvill­e or to the charity of choice.
