Pea Ridge Times

Public Servants

-

Police Officer Justin Lawson has been in law enforcement for two years and on the Pea Ridge Police Department for a year and a half

He said:“Pea Ridge is my home. This is where my kids were born, will grow up and, hopefully, raise their families. I love keeping the community I live in a safer place for my family and all the other families who call this their home.

“Having the opportunity to serve the community and build relationships with the citizens of our city,”is the best thing about serving here, he said.

Lawson said he was born in Rogers, Ark., and after graduating high school, joined the United States Marine Corps and served five years as an infantryman.

“During that time, I was deployed to Afghanistan,”he said.“After completing my enlistment, my wife and I moved to Pea Ridge and decided to call this our home. I joined the Pea Ridge Fire Department in the spring of 2013 where I’m still a member. In the fall of 2018, I was offered a position with the Pea Ridge Police Department which I gratefully accepted. I have enjoyed every minute and look forward to interacting with the wonderful citizens of the city. In my free time, I also volunteer with Got Your 6ix Project, a local non profit that financially supports and advocates for law enforcement, military, fire fighters and first responders.

“I just want everyone to know that as an officer and first responder with the city of Pea Ridge, I am here to serve and protect this community. My hope is to change the way people are currently viewing law enforcement around the world. Thank you for the continued support during these troubling times.”
